RRB Group D Recruitment 2024: Application Form, Eligibility, and Steps to Apply

Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) will be releasing the RRB Group D application form 2024 soon, The form will be released on their official website. RRB Group D application form will be available in online mode only so interested candidates need to ensure whether they are eligible to apply for the exam or not. The application fee (for all candidates except for the fee concession categories) is INR 500 and the fee for ST/Minority Communities/ Economically Backward Class/PwBD/Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen/SC is INR 250. After the candidates have appeared in the computer-based test (CBT)the application fee will be refunded to the candidates. Candidates belonging to SC / ST/ ExSM/ PwBD/ Female/ Minority/EBC/Transgender categories are entitled to a full refund of their examination fees of INR 250. Candidates belonging to the General/EWS/OBC categories receive a lesser refund of their examination fees compared to the candidates with the category, they will get INR 400 after deducting the bank charges.

The steps to fill RRB Group D application form are mentioned below:

  • Before  filling out the application form read all the instructions 
  • Scanned documents should kept ready before filling out the application

 

The size and dimensions for uploading the photograph, signature, and certificate are given below

 

  • To know about the qualification and reservation category of the candidates check railway-zone wise vacancies.
  • Select the railway zone in which candidates wish to apply
  • Click on the ‘New Registration’ tab
  • Register for the exam by submitting the required details including about yourself, year of passing, mobile number, and email ID, and  submit the registration form
  • After registration, candidates need to verify their email ID and mobile number through OTP
  • To fill the application click on the ‘Already Registered’ button on the home page by logging in using the registration number and password
  • In Part I of the application page, candidates had to provide the details of educational qualification, community, gender, religion, Ex-Servicemen, Minority, Economically Backward Class Age Relaxation, and other details
  • In Part II of the application page, candidates had to indicate his/her priority/preference for the posts
  • Candidates are required to choose the exam language
  • Candidates had to fill in the details of a valid photo ID card
  • Enter bank details to get the refund of fees
  • Candidates had to upload their scanned images of photographs and signatures as per the format
  • SC/ST candidates need to upload their category certificates

 

RRB GROUP D ELIGIBILITY 

The educational qualification required for the exam is a Class 10 pass plus a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by the National Council for Vocational Training or a Class 10 pass plus ITI. The age limit for RRB Group D age limit is 18 to 33 years. According to RRB Group D eligibility, relaxation in the upper age limit will only be provided to SC/ST/OBC and other eligible categories as per government rule. Candidates should be medically fit to carry out their responsibilities properly. The medical standard required  for the exam is given below:

A-2  Distant vision: 6/9, 6/9 without glasses (No fogging test)
Near vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 without glasses and must pass tests for colour vision, binocular vision, night vision, mesopic vision
A-3  Distant vision: 6/9, 6/9 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 2D)
Near vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses and must pass the test for colour vision, binocular vision, night vision, myopic vision, etc. 
B-1  Distant vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D)
Near vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and must pass the test for colour vision, binocular vision, night vision, mesopic vision, etc. 
B-2  Distant vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D)
Near vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and must pass the test for binocular vision, etc
C-1  Distant vision: 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses
Near vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required
C-2  Distant vision: 6/12 with or without glasses
Near vision: Sn. 0.6 combined with or without glasses where reading or close work is required
