Pharmacy Entrance Exams 2023 Eligibility
The career after B.Pharma, M.Pharma, or PharmaD might seem exciting enough to appear for these Pharmacy Entrance Exams in 2023. However, these universities do not accept any contenders who can pass the paper. There are strict rules set for the selection of the most deserving candidate for the courses. Undergraduate Course-
- Some UG-level Pharmacy Entrance Exams are only eligible for Indian citizens. Therefore, foreign candidates are instructed to check the brochure carefully.
- English, Physics, and Chemistry subjects with Biology and or Mathematics are a must at the qualifying level exam.
- Qualifying exams include class 10th and 12th pass students with at least 45% for UR and 49% for SC/ST candidates.
- For further details, candidates should go through the individual prospectus of the exam they are appearing for.
Post Graduate Course–
- The candidates wanting to apply for the post-graduate level exams should have completed 4 years of Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy after 10+2. This includes candidates who were enrolled as lateral entry students.
- Students in their final year of Bachelor’s degree course in Pharmacy in 10+2+4 pattern are also eligible to apply for PG level entrance.
- Candidates must be Indian citizens or as directed by the concerned authority.
- There is no age restriction. (However, do check the brochure before applying for the concerned paper.)
- In some exams like GPAT, B.Tech. (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology) etc. course degrees are ineligible.
National Level Pharmacy Entrance Exams 2023
There are not many National Entrance Tests for Pharmacy at the Undergraduate Level or after the 12th. However, there are two recognised Exams in which the aspirants can participate after their graduation or in their final year. Check out below:
GPAT– 2023
Those who want the best central universities and pharmacy-specialized national universities should apply for GPAT or Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test. As the name suggests, this exam is taken after completion of the UG degree course. Since 2019, National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the GPAT exams for entry into the M.Pharma courses in prestigious national-level colleges. Applications for the 2023 exam have closed. NIPER- JEE 2023
The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) conducts the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) for admissions into the M.Pharma, M. State-Level Pharmacy Entrance Exams 2023
Some authorities conduct combined entrance exams for Pharmacy courses in their state. The scores of these papers are used for merit listing in the universities and colleges of that state.
